Yipee!!! Also, I am starting to swim in my size 12 pants!!! :) (I can pull them out ~1" from my waist because they are that big on me now.) I'm wondering if that means I can fit into a size 8. Some of this is vanity I realize, and my goal is definitely not smaller than 4. If my comp ends up in my goal zone and I can only wear an 8 or 10, that's fine with me.
(I realize some women would be thrilled to get down to a size 10 or 12. I don't want to devalue their struggle or goals at all. When facing a larger challenge there's the possibility for a greater victory. My challenge isn't huge, so my victory will be proportional to it. I believe that the measure of success is not the value at the end, but the difference qualitatively from the beginning. For all the people who are looking to lose 50-100lb+ to get to a healthy weight, I have so much respect and admiration for you guys and your dedication. You are facing Everests. I feel like I'm facing Mt. Baker or Sugarloaf Mountain- depending on the day. We may all reach our goals, but your victories are more incredible to me.)
