Well, I'm back on land for 7 weeks! That's the good news. My weight has maintained at 150, but I've still got 30 to lose. At least now I can go back. I have to go back to induction. Being onboard and having a limited food variety you would think it would be easy to stay on Atkins. The problem is the foods that are available are all fried or soaked in a heavy sauce. You don't have much choice when you are feeding 1500 people within a 3 hour period I guess.

Back to the drawing board and I'm going to make it stick this time.

150.0 lb Lost so far: 15.0 lb.    Still to go: 30.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Hi there Lilsmurf. There is a whole lot you can do in that 7 weeks, but I do know from experience that it can be hard to find the will or focus when you've been away from home. I also understand how hard it is to stick to your guns when you aren't able to prepare your own meals. I do freelance work on yachts and when I'm not required to cook I have to eat what the chef prepares (oh boo-hoo, right?) or if I'm the one cooking I have to prepare meals for the guests and guess what? none of them want "diet" food when they're on vacation and I also cook for a hard working crew who need calories just to make it through 14-16 hour days. Sorry about rambling on about myself, but I just wanted to let you know that I understand where you're coming from and sometimes when you have an unusual job it's hard to get other people to "get it". Good luck!
