I've never recorded a journal entry for this before....
I'm so happy to get back to 268. I was super pissed off at myself for getting all the way back up to 274. I had been eating a ton but I didn't expect it to get that bad. Turns out I had a bad infection and once that cleared I only ended up with about a 3lb gain. Still pretty bad but not as bad as I thought. I'm trying hard to get my calories under control but I haven't been as diligent at recording my food RIGHT after I eat it. That helps me make good choices for the rest of the day. When I'm doing it at night, the damage has already been done and I can't do anything about it other than exercise.
I also need to stay away from the fast food. It's so easy just to get something to eat on my way home. I know I can eat fast food in smallllll amounts and still fit it into my budget but I have been making really bad choices lately. In any case, I think that once I get back into the habit of cooking and bringing leftovers in to work to eat instead of getting fast food, it will help.
Focus and Action Items: I need to focus my efforts on keeping myself fed so I don't get ravenous and eat a ton. I also need to put my food into my diary RIGHT after eating it so that I can monitor my calories for the rest of the day.

I find it helpful to sometimes record tomorrows food diary the night before. It keeps me from forgetting things, and it also helps me remove cravings to eat something i shouldn't for a meal, because I've already chosen what i'm going to eat and then I'd have to go back and change everything :).
