I am doing everything right. Eating healthy, stay in under my RDI and exercising 4-6 days a week for over an hour. Yet, I gained weight. Aaaaagggggghhhhh!
187.2 lb Lost so far: 7.8 lb.    Still to go: 52.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight fluctuations. Gains can be cause from many different factors. JFI: RDI's are guidelines and you may need to adjust yours till you find what helps you lose the best. As you lose weight, you may need to cut more calories to keep losing because you won't need as many calories. If you just started the exercise though, muscles retain water temporarily to help them heal, which can show on the scale as a gain, no loss or smaller loss than usual. Read the article for insight. Watch you sodium intake. Stay hydrated. Good luck!

I already set my personal rid lower than recommended. I know why I retain water. It's a hormonal thing and I really can't do anything about it. I just have to live with it. At least that is what my obgyn says.
