Call it a vision quest... I have 56 days until i turn 40. I'd like to be in the best shape i can be by then. Used to be an athlete but a desk job, combined with a motor cycle accident and getting older has decimated my physique.
Switched to paleo diet, been using it steady for 5 days. Enjoying the food choices, and the ability to eat as much as I want. Lost a couple pounds so far, I can feel the detox hitting me as well. In my head i feel weak and tired, but had no problem doing a cross fit workout this morning. And i don't feel too tired at work. Always hungry, yet full, probably fat burning.
Food is expensive to eat this way, but i figure its worth it. I turned off my weight watchers account, I found tracking very tedious. I lost weight on WW, but then lost interest. This diet seems easier to maintain.
The plan:
Crossfit, 3x a week, (usually mon wed fri, or tue wed fri) Stretch every day after workout to maintain flexibility.
Run one day a week (30 mins)
Dance classes (girlfriend and I dance a lot) 2x tango 2x swing (possibly 3 weeks only due to schedule) in evenings.
capoeira 1x a week for two weeks then 2x a week.
Paleo Diet... Once cheat meal a week, but limiting bad foods.

Crossfit was a great workout this morning. Getting better at "thrusters" had breakfast and lunch prepared before I went to sleep. Was nice to not have to cook in the morning and prepare a meal.
Used Boathouse Green goodness as a recovery drink. I found a recipe online for making your own. I plan on creating a mass of it and other blended fruit in a container so i have a drink available that isn't water.
