Hi RWL, how are you? I was just catching up on your journal and see your Dr appt. turned out well. I am really glad you are feeling so good. I remember after my own surgery, more pictures. Gosh, we should be paid for the posing, right? What is nice is the smaller we get, the bigger the boobs look. Can't lose them anymore when dieting ~ YAY! My kids comment to me that they actually look bigger, but it's the weight loss. I'm 2 ounces from the blue line, then I'll work on getting to 125. Since I'm 5'2", I don't need to weigh but about 115-120. I need exercise as I see the weight loss now, but I need firming. Kind of hard to do at my age, but I am still a vain woman about my body. Aren't we all? Got my 64th birthday coming on the 8th. Not celebrating till the weekend as I got really sick this weekend past. Very bad, bad cold. Staying home today to just rest up and get past this miserable cough. You need to be careful with the exercising. Follow your Drs advice and exercise other areas. You don't need "chest" exercises now as they are what they are now. You don't need big or exercised pecs. You have a chest now, so just work on the other areas. I REALLY need to do some sort of firming exercises, but I do so hate exercising. WHY, WHY, WHY can't I get past this aversion to exercise? Lazy? Probably, I seem to have lots of excuses. OK, enough drama and whining. You have a marvelous week and just be careful, remember, you are still healing INSIDE. Thanks for stopping by my journal, stay healthy and happy!!

Poo! Didn't realize you commented over on this day so here is my reply from 4th...:D I believe me, it's on my list lol. I'm working on paying off my surgery bill from May (my hysto) and once that is done I'm officially free if debt...except house and utilities. No credit cards, doctor bills, car payments, anything. Yay...so it should be doable sooner than later.

Hi NN! Yes, I'm doing incredibly well! Feel good, getting my energy back, feeling positive... and not to worry - I WILL listen to the doctor regarding exercise. He's my hero right now :D And I can tell I'm still healing on the inside. I asked him if it hurt when I sneezed or coughed, I would assume that means I'm still healing? And he said yes. I've become quite used to NOT exercising by now, which kind of scares me. It took such a long time to become that exercise junkie and for now, that's all gone. And so what if we're considered vain. I think our husbands like the fact that we want to look good, right? And I know I feel better about practically everything when I feel good about myself. And B... if you find the miracle cream or exercise or treatment for firming, I hope you clue ME in on it! I think the best we could hope for is to build enough muscle underneath that it will sort of fill out the sag! Apparently I have the unfortunate combination of thin skin, and very little elasticity which leads to more and more sagging! The doc tells me there are no surgical procedures to fix THAT one! And do you have any idea how many times I heard those terms (thin skin, no elasticity, damaged skin) from him over the last several weeks? lol... Right now, I'm NOT an exercise lover. I did get to that place after months of doing it, though. I don't know what to suggest other than to find something you don't hate doing... dancing? You could do some kind of aerobics stuff. I love hiking, but you can't do that every day. So I just stuck to workout dvd's and ended up liking them. I don't think it's laziness, I think it's the way we were brought up or the way PE was presented in school. I always associated exercise with punishment! B- I want to CONGRATULATE you on being in the blue line! (you can PEE out 2 oz! lol) That's awesome. I would hesitate getting much below the 120, even at 5'2" since we seem to lose that little bit of fat in the face we need (voice of experience). My PS's office does Botox and Restalyne, so I asked about that for my face - JUST lost those little necessary fat pads in the cheek area...now I look gaunt) and he actually suggested another type of injectable altogether - one they don't do there. And gave me the name of the ONE person he can personally vouch for... not THAT'S a good plastic surgeon! Coulda made more money off of me, but he feels I'd benefit from something they don't offer. Anyway, just something to watch as you drop lower and lower. I guess we shouldn't weigh what we weighed as teens or early 20 somethings at menopause... (my luck...I finally GET there and it's probably too low to keep any sort of facial fat!) Enough of that... I'm am SO sorry you were so ill. I hope today is the last of the ick for you. And wow...Happy Birthday a couple days early!! And for the record..you LOOK awesome! GET healthy and have a great celebration this weekend.

Youngbug... I'm really happy for you! But whatever you do... RESEARCH. DON'T consider how much one plastic surgeon charges over another. There's a reason some are more expensive. I've seen LOTS of not great results - makes me damn near LOVE my plastic surgeon! He's incredible. Trust me - this is ONE area you do NOT want to bargain shop. If the results are bad - you'd end up paying more in the long run. Oh, hey... there's a chance some of yours could be covered by insurance if you're talking about a reduction since heavy breasts cause back problems and neck and shoulder pain. (forgive me if I've got this one wrong about you - I'm thinking you were the one talking about how difficult it is to find a dress... although your little black number looked damn good on you!)

Hi Youngbug... I have this terrible habit of signing on in the morning and leaving the site open all day! I really should stop doing that or risk having my friends think I'm ignoring them! Hope you're well, gonna read some journals now

Hi Info... get this.. I actually just made a journal entry! ha ha ha... yep, learned from the best! lol... no, just busy for me...which isn't saying a whole lot! What on earth will I do when I have a real job? OMG... but I'm back, gonna try to get back into the daily thing - journal, record food, check on my friends... I miss that! I just feel I have little to contribute without being able to work out! Doc says another SIX weeks! SIX! I can't believe that! I think they don't realize how fit I actually was prior to surgery! Although the doc remarked how "spry" I was when I jumped off the exam table for some other thing! It wasn't until later that the WORD "spry" made me feel OLD! lol... how often is the work spry used when NOT talking of someone of advanced age!
