I've been going to the gym like a madwoman lately. My secret? My motivation? I've reserved the gym for leisure reading. While I'm on the elliptical, I bring my Nook (Barnes & Noble E-Reader) with me. I don't listen to music, I read stories. I read, and it lets me forget that my thighs are burning or that my heels are sore. It makes me not only willing to go to the gym, but eager. I burned through an entire trilogy in the last 4 days by spending a ridiculous amount of time at the gym. I wear a pedometer, and this week I've averaged about 27000 steps, which is far above my average of around 8500.

but that's the advantage for me of doing it at the gym. there's a little lip on the machine i like to use, and my e-reader sits right there. I hold on to the sides of the machine, so I'm 'planted,' and i dont run into any problems with reading. Also, because it's an e-reader, I don't have to worry about the pages going everywhere, or getting my eew on the book - it turns the pages with a touch screen, and if a touch screen gets dirty, you just wipe it off. XD
