I've lost a total of 20 lbs since start of Lent this year. For Lent, I gave up potatoes of any kind and lost 10 lb without even knowing! Nice surprise. I visited Dr Bender today and my bp was 114/78 and my weight was 261! I weighed 271 on my last visit with her and 268 at the Swedish clinic in April. SO BIG KUDOS!!
Now I have about 5 more lbs to loose and keep off until end of November so my insurance will pay for the bariatric surgery.
What I need to work on: following the diet guidelines more closely and less fat. AND (this is a big one)more exercising! That's what is really helping with my bp.
261.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 111.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
