I had a blast last night! I let go of my weight loss project, had STEGT FLÆSK (A traditional Danish dish, essentially unsalted, unsmoked fried backon) with potatoes, parsley gravy, red wine and an Irish Coffee afterwards. Even got a little tipsy!
The downside, of course, is no weight loss today. I gained 200 grams, not a big deal. I can have that gone by tomorrow.

I bought a WiiFitPlus a while back, but I was too heavy for it, so it refused me playing with it. What a letdown. However, today I decided to try again, and I am now set up, and have already burned 130 calories on it! Phew, it is hard work for a big guy who is not used to exercise. I will try to keep up with it though. I like the thought of burning som cals in my own home, until I feel more confident doing a more "real" workout. I gotta say, this is plenty hard for me for now, though. WiiFit is more than just a video game. And it is fun too! :)

Today, I will be super strict on my diet. I have to compensate for yesterday, so I will have a little less breakfast, a little less lunch and a very reasonable dinner. No snacks other than carrots. I should do just fine.

Life is good!

That is good you had a day where you splurged a little bit. I will make my splurge day Saturday and of course holidays. Then even better with you, is you know you had a free day, but then today you are going to try to make up for it and eat better. It does seem all about balancing things out. So you seem to understand the theories of weight loss pretty well. And the Wii, well my kids got one and I got Wii fit & it is perfect for someone who is not use to exercising, it is a good start. If you are not use to exercising, it will give you a nice little work out. And the more you work out on it, the more you will notice your energy levels coming up. My favorite game is Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii. I work up a nice little sweat on it when I play that game. And on Wii fit, I like the running game, bicycling game & the obstacle course. If you got Wii boxing that is an excellent game too, you can burn a ton of calories with that game. But, keep up the good work! you are really doing a fabulous job : )
