Dieting is not predictable. If it wasn't more complicated than inputs in = results it wouldn't be such a huge industry with so many contending diets and philosophies. If someone else tries to say you aren't trying it is because they aren't walking in your shoes. I refuse to let others erode my determination. I am eating healthy, low carb nourishing meals and I am going to continue doing so. With or without support communities. In my earlier FS experience, I had buddies and we commented on each others individual journals. I think I may look for that model again. I never was very good at summarizing a response to a couple pages worth of people anyway.

Hi! I totally agree - everyone's bodies are different and they respond to different methods. The calories in/calories out method doesn't work for me if I'm still eating a ton of grains, so if you find that something is working for you, don't let others try to push their methods on you. I like reading and commenting on personal journals, too; I think they're a better support system than the forums.
