Good morning!

It's Saturday, it's the last day of week one of upping my calories, and it's Indulgence Day. For once, I'm not all that excited about it. I've had so many calories available to be these last days, and for the sake of the experiment and to really evaluate what I need to eat, I've done my best to reach max of my RDI. I've accomplished this every day, except Sunday (low with about 100 of the 600 calories) and Monday (low with about 1000 of 2675 calories). So essentially, I should go 1100 calories HIGHER than my 3500 RDI today. Phew. I don't think I'll accomplish that.

It's weird. If I "only" go for 3500 calories today, then I'll end up at an average of 2000 calories this week - the same as I did at the end of my weight loss journey first time around, and I feel like I've been stuffing myself silly all week. It's amazing what the two Low Cal days can do.

Today will be a short journal. If I have time, I might write more later. It's been a busy morning. I slept a little later than usual, but got up in time for gym. Wife went and hung out in the lobby, and we did "my" five kilometer walk together. It was super nice.

We're now at the usual Saturday buffet, with a friend. Lunch is about to be served. I better get crackin' if I want to reach that calorie goal. Lol.

Life is good!

EDIT: To fully utilize Indulgence Day today, Wife decided to make "Millionaire's Bacon". This is a first for us. This is sinful squared! :)


Now, it's time to patientely stare at the oven for four hours... :D

Wow! Im am adoring reading these journals of yours. Im getting soooo exited about being in your position. OK I doubt I'll have your added requirement of muscle building, but just the thought of UPPING being a challenge is enough to have me skipping through the tulips!!

Champers9, it's actually harder to go UP than I thought. I really don't want a habit out of eating this much, but I also see the point. It's a sticky situation, as the song goes. I do see, however, that in the future, in maintenance mode, I will (hopefully) be able to simply go two days with 600 cals, and five days of pretty much what I feel is right to eat, as long as I make smart choices, and as long as I work out.

I'm curious, what is on the Millionaire's Bacon? Looks like a treat :) Good luck on reaching your calories for the day. That is so interesting that it is so much harder for you now. I think it is great that even though it is an indulgence day for you you are making smart choices. I hope to be there some day. Enjoy the weekend.

Actually, today is the day I do NOT have to make all smart choices. I'm enjoying good food, candies, and more good food. Limited candy though. The Millionaire's Bacon is rubbed in Cayenne Peppers, black pepper, Ooooooodles of brown sugar and chili flakes. It was delish, but definitely not something I'd eat too often. It was a bit too much on the flavors for my liking. When eating it, it was a 10 out of 10, but it completely killed the urge for it for a long time. That's not a bad thing. :)

HAHA, millinare bacon, that is a new one! Going that high on calories just sounds like binge eating/feed your face till you blow up. NOT ok. Be kind to your tummy, you ROCK! Time to go burn some calories raking leaves from last fall UG!
