@melissatwa. thanks. 1 pound per week seems a little disappointing, given the intense calorie burns, but my cal intake is up to 2800 - 2900 per day. Body is saying, hey dude, if you're taking me on 40 and 50 mile rides then you damn sure are going to feed me. I'm basically burning my daily cal intake and then a little bit more. My body rebels against rapid weight loss, but seems to really like getting fit and trim. I started at 220 (size 38 waist) two years ago and at 175 I can genuinely say I am both fit and trim (size 33) at 65. It feels good and my theory is that if something feels good, we keep doing it.

You are fantastic! And, I dare say you probably shouldn't lose another ounce. Your fitness level is really amazing and inspiring. I've never been a bike rider, so I find the level of endurance you demonstrate really incredible.... Inspiring!

Yep, that is my intake as well. Losing slowly is best at your weight. No reason to rush.
