I am a bad person. I have become very committed to loosing wieght again, and it is after spending a day in the hopsital with my morther-in-law. My father-in-law need surgury, and so we spent the day pushing my mother-in-law up and downa nd around the hospital. Do you all know know why we had to push her around [this is where I become a awful person] we had to push her around because she's fat. She has a lot of trouble, don't get me wrong, but they can be all traced back to her weight. Her back hurts when she stands, she has trouble breathing if she moves around much, she diabetic, ect... Her children have triad to get Mom one of those ride on chairs, but her own Dr says no, there really isn't anything wrong with her, and walking a little would be good for her...but that doesn't ever happen. The real kicker here is that my father-in-law was having surgury because while he was trying to help her out of the tub they both fell and it blew out his knee.

Anyway, I will loose this weight that's hanging on me, and I will keep it off. I will not be my mother-in-law. I will not give up at let the fat win....

That doesn't make you a bad person! You see what happens and you don't want it to happen to you. I think that's commendable. And I'm sorry to hear your MIL is having so many health issues. I hope she gets a "wake-up call" that she needs to get her moving again. It sounds like at the point she's at any little bit of exercise she can get would be hugely beneficial.

Darlin- this doesnt make you a bad person at all. You are learning a valuable lesson indirectly from this woman. What you feel toward the situation is normal... you see the negative effect obesity is having on her quality of life as well as her family's life. The best you can do is keep on track and know what not to become. Hopefully your M-I-L will find a similar direction after seeing the changes you made. Good Luck and my warmest wishes are with you and your family.
