Good morning, Fatsecret friends and buddies!

It's been a while. I've been on vacation, enjoying life, slacking, relaxing and gotten some good news on my weight loss journey. Well, yes and no - depending how you look at it.

Let's start with the fun stuff. Paris was AWESOME! I tried to journal a little from there, but it just didn't happen the way I anticipated it. I had no real way of recording the food, as I had very limited access to internet, and the dishes were so mixed and it was hard to dissect it to record it properly.

The good news was that I didn't gain weight, though I highly expeced this.

Last week was spent going home, and staying at home. I did pretty much nothing to lose weight, other than trying to not go completely nuts in bad foods. I figured I was on vacation, and needed a break. It's been hard to get back on track on my weight loss journey, and this break - well, let's be honest, this EXCUSE - from doing it was more than welcome.

Friday, I went for a followup with the surgeons. This was supposed to be a regular checkup, just to confirm that things are as expected.

As you know, I have been struggling massively with getting the weight off after the surgery, and I still am.

However, they surgeons told me that I am totally free to do anything I like now, when it comest to weight, exercise and all. I can fully focus on exercising, and I don't need to be careful, other than what is common sense.

They also said that they had looked at the pictures they had taken last time. They see that they can adjust a little more on the front of my body, and make it look even nicer. It's a small(ish) surgery, and nothing compared to what I had done in June. At least, so I'm told.

So I told them yes please.

Now, here's the hitch. I need that little belly that I have accumulated gone. The 90 kilos that I weigh in today needs - NEEDS - to be 80 or less in three and a half month. Deadline for this is 2/22/13.

I know I can do this, and I know that maybe a little pressure is a good thing for me. It's "only" ten kilos, of course I can do it. Also, it's 80, and not the 77 that I was aiming for last. The last three kilos are what is REALLY hard to do, so I am confident that I can get down there without too much hassle. It's mostly a matter of focus.

So, here I am - I am rebooting (again)! I have set my new goal to 80 kilos. Honestly, I am relieved that it's 80 or less, and not 77 or less. Those three kilos make a huge difference, mentally.

I am already down about 800 grams since I came home from France. I haven't even tried. lol. I guess that is the baguettes and all the bad stuff disappearing.

Yesterday I did awesome on my diet. I did all I had to do, drank water, ate low cal and healthy, and went to play music as exercise. It was so much fun. I was jammin with Burnin' Live, and it ended up with us writing a new song - or at least the foundations for it.

We're getting to be a fairly tight unit, and even if we are still getting our feet wet in this band, I hear tons of potential. It rocks. I really like our sound, and the vibe that we create. I'll let you guys hear sometime. We just need to get a little more structured. I don't want to hurt your ears! :)

Today, I'm back at work. I gotta say I have missed it. I have missed the purpose of being here, I have missed my coworkers, and even more - I have missed being away from the fridge! It's so much easier to lose weight when I am at work. I don't get bored the same way, I don't have food available, and I get to move around more.

I have my desk raised to standing level, and I plan on standing all day.

Tonight, I'm teaching my weigh loss class. It's been two weeks - I'm dying to see how they did. We canceled last time, as I was in France.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Being back at work. Who knew? lol
- Morning coffee.
- Feeling on track losing the 10 kgs.

Happy Monday! Life is good!

I feel like I have "rebooted" so many times lately, but still I am confident to do this. I think having a goal and a mission really helps. :)

Sounds wonderful, Keld. You've learned (and taught) so much. So glad you had such a wonderful time (and minimum gain) in France. But who misses work? LOL. Have an equally productive week.
