Earthlady's Journal, 19 September 2012

No Internet at home and no time at work so this is very quick. An apparently big gain is actually not so much as I'm back home on the digital scales. However I am 500 gr over my goal so that's a net gain over the summer months, and I've definitely been lower than that over the summer. I have been particularly lax over the past two weeks and seemingly unable to subdue the cravings. I'm putting it down to hormones as there are definitely changes going on there!

School opened yesterday and already I'm feeling that the routine will really help me to get back on top of things. So thinking positive thoughts, healthy breakfast already consumed, healthy lunch packed and ready and healthy dinner planned for later. All good :)
126.8 lb Lost so far: 9.9 lb.    Still to go: 1.1 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Ah, the green line is a hateful thing once you've been blue, yes? But, as you said, you knew the scales would be different. I think that 1.1 pound net gain is pretty darn reasonable, all things considered. I mean, after all, it was supposed to be a vacay, right? So, it could have been so much worse. I'm sure your constant swimming and walking undid any damage you did in your eating, and who knows? Could be the gain is in muscle mass! As for the "laxness"--knowing basically nothing about your seasons, I'm curious if it's a change of season...it seems that here in the US, lots of folks are complaining of feeling less motivated right now as we head into Fall. This includes me. Finding it difficult to get up and get going on my walk each day, even skipping it here and there! This freaks me out somewhat, because I don't want to lose what I've gained (and gain what I've lost) over the summer.
