Hi and good morning everyone! It is finally a nice day here so I think I will take a walk at lunch time. I had my workout this morning too. Trying hard to get to 289!

I ordered a new snack called Power Balls. LOL Yeah, power balls. Snickerdoodle flavored power balls, that is (4 net carbs, 3 g sugar).

Last thing I tried were FBombs (choc/mac nut). Those were OK. I found that they killed my hunger cravings. I quit buying those mini Kind bars b/c they were too sweet and I felt they were turning too much into a candy bar type of food. Smartcakes are cupcake type snacks - they kind of fell apart a lot and had a funky after taste. Cauli'flour crust never got crispy even though I cooked it on the grid pan at 400. I still have a bunch of those left. They were ok but I never really got my satisfactory pizza feel b/c they are so flimsy. So far I haven't found anything that I am dying to order again.

Do you have any low carb / low sugar snack suggestions?

Processed/packaged snacks make me gain weight so I try to stick with macadamia nuts, cheese, small amount of dark chocolate, spoon of peanut butter, stuff like that if I need a snack. Good luck! You’re doing great 🙂

I warm up pork rinds with melted butter on them put in oven sprinkled with cinnamon /stevia mix...about 5 mins in oven.... take out to cool ... I also take parmesan cheese small pile and place a pepperoni on it make several piles then bake.... let cheese melt well... on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper...they are great crisp to snack on... also I will take walnuts in pan toast them in butter...then put in a cinnamon/stevia or sweetner of choice in a bag..shake well until they are coated then place on baking sheet and toast on low heat ...they are delicious too just watch your intake they can be addicting...hope that helps some my dear friend...have a wonderful day sweetie.. sf jello and whipped cream is a good one too xoxoxo;)

Premier Protein Shakes, I think but I am not on Keto. They are high in protein and low in carbs.

Costco has a Kirkland signature Protein bar - (brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough) 20g protein, 4 net carbs, 190 calories and it actually tastes good and feels like you ate something. I also use babybel minis with corn thins to have a good balance of fat, carb and protein. I do put things down on my white board to make sure the numbers work out - but I am a little geeky that way.

The only processed snack items I eat are kind bars, power crunch bars and think thin bars. Kind because they pack well, power crunch because I love the taste and indulge in 2 packs a month (10 bars...okay, I admit sometimes 4 packs I like to eat the triple chocolate and salted caramel together so I cut them each in half so I have to buy two, and I love the mint). And the think thin because they aren’t TOTALLY disgusting, but aren’t great so I won’t gobble through them on a binge. They will just stay around, and around as emergency rations. LOL I buy an organic veggie protein powder that I mix with enough ice that it satisfies the craving for any teal ice cream flavor I can think of with almond milk. I mix straight unsweetened cocoa powder with fresh ground powder nut butters, especially cashew butter and a little salt in a tub and can eat that by the spoonful and for me it’s more satisfying somehow than the nuts themselves.🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m kinda boring.

can I get your Power Balls and FBomb recipes, please?

I eat macadamia nuts. It gives me both salt and fat and also gives me that satisfying crunch!

I make frozen fat bombs. The recipe should be on my page. Those packaged things throw me out of ketosis and cause me to gain weight.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! Yeah I never thought about the packaged items throwing me out of ketosis. I will have to think about that. Technically I am not supposed to be snacking at all. It starts up bad things for me (one snack can lead to binge eating). But sometimes a snack will stop my cravings so it's always a decision.

Oh yeah, and I walked 1.4 miles at work. Knee started complaining but I was able to ignore it. Anyway, I had to keep walking to get back to the office!! You ever do that where you don't walk in a small circle and you are too far away from home base to quit? You're like "ah oh, what did I doooo?" haha

One more thing GO PENS!!!!!!

I forgot I drink premier protein shakes too! The chocolate ones I freeze. Even tho’ you’re not supposed to. 🤷🏻‍♀️I cut them out of the package and let them soften up a bit, or blast them for 20-25 secs in the microwave in a bowl and eat them like ice cream. LOL 🙋🏻 The protein powder I use is Purely Inspired Organic Vegetable Protein. I end up using about 2/3 of a half serving of the powder per day and may eat up to one bar of some type a day. I try to keep it to the kind bars though, or an ounce of actual nuts. At one point I was eating alot more than this, but considering the sugar habit I was replacing? I could have been mainlining boxes of the things and it wouldn’t have been enough! 😆So getting me off the actual sugar was key, or honey. There is some cane sugar in my protein powder I think, but I’m pretty sure it’s a small amount based on taste. 😝 LOL

Not a snacker myself but.. for a savory taste extra spicy pork rinds with mozzarella (or plain ones spiced to taste) make a good snack. Real chicharrones are better but no doubt hard to find back east. I second with pepperoni with Parmesan idea as well. For sweet I mix protein power with ice in the blender for a thick shake vibe. Isopure Zero Carb is what I use personally for a lot of reasons.. really good flavors being a big one. I'll sometimes add a bit of a flavor extract (vanilla for example) to give it that extra kick.... and GO PENS!!!

My favorite low-cal, low-carb, low-sugar snack is a slice of gouda cheese wrapped around a slice of prosciutto or really good quality salami. Pick your favorite cheese and deli meat, the important thing is to replace quantity with quality.

Saute a serving of pecans (about 20 halves) in a tablespoon of butter for 1.5 minutes. Medium or so heat. Toasting the nuts this way brings out a bit if natural sweetness. I add a dash of salt and they are so yummy!!

On the cauliflower crusts, if they don't crisp up at first, try putting them in a hot frying pan to crisp up w/a little spray of your cooking oil of choice. If you have toppings you want melted, put a lid on for the first few minutes, then remove.

pickles cure the carb crave for me usually I smear one with a little cream cheese or laughing cow cheese and wrap it in roast beef or pastrami. motzarella and prosciutto is great too - many soft cheeses go well with a hand full of berries and the berries get you your sweet and the cheese and meat fill you up. be careful with artificial sweetened snacks - as long as you feed a sweet tooth regularly you'll keep craving sweets - that said, everyone deserves a little indulgence - if I'm under my goal for the day I have a lindt dark chocolate truffle at night (which also go great with berries)
