182.9 lb Lost so far: 23.7 lb.    Still to go: 17.9 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Kevinly Ive always been more at the tortoise pace that is why I choose to measure my body it seems to melt off faster than the scale wants to move down...lol;)

Slow and steady equals permanent... the early fast drops are so intoxicating, we have to be satisfied and fulfilled with the steady and healthy pace of weight loss as we get deeper into the lifestyle change!! Well done!! Keep on truckin’!!

I tried the body measurements for a little while, but I was so bad at taking them I couldn't get a consistent reading. I think that is the best option if you can get good readings since it is a better indicator of health than weight is. I want to go fast so that I can get to maintenance before I lose interest in losing it in the first place.

I always had weird results with body measurements, lol. I started using what I called "benchmark" pants - that were too tight. I would try them on every weekend. I also bought a "smart" scale with an app that lets you see your body fat, muscle mass, and other measurements to track.

sbw1987: that's a great idea! I have a few clothes I've kept around because I liked them so much and now I'm starting fit in them again :-).
