Wow who knew Quinoa had so many calories and carbs. My boyfriend made it and I had two bowls and then bam I was over my calorie intake for the day. The sad part is I wasnt even hungry. I hit the gym right afterwards and just did circuit training for legs and shoulders. I have spin tomorrow in the AM. So hopefully I can undo some of the bad that I did today. Dinner is always where I mess up. I need to start making some rules about what I can eat and when. If I want to see results I need to be more strict. I also need to stop buying cheese. So many calories and I like it too much to just have a little.

Quinoa is great and full of nutrients - but I agree it has a lot of calories and carbs when one is watching carb intake! I miss eating it but will eventually work it back into my food plan because it has protein, too.

Are you logging everything you eat? I took a peek at your diet calendar and your calorie intake is all over the place. I love cheese too and bread is also a weakness for me, but we can do this! I just got back from the gym tonight and had a good workout with my trainer. Enjoy spin class tomorrow morning :)

WOAH - wait a minute. You logged wrong! You logged the calories and carbs of two cups of UNCOOKED quinoa. No wonder it is so high. The dry stuff triples when cooked. SO, two cups COOKED quinoa is about 340 calories and maybe 50 carbs!

Oh my goodness thank you HCB! You are awesome. Ill change it when I get a chance (at work and have to go proctor a test in five...hehehehe). Yea Kimjinxie I am all over the place. I sometimes am very strict and other times not so much. I log almost everything because I have the fatsecret app on my phone which is super helpful. We can totally do this! I did some research on calorie intake and how to break it down. I am making a meal plan during lunch for the next month. Im friending you guys, your comments are awesome!
