I went to a French base on Saturday and had the opportunity to dine at an Italian restaurant. That evening my hosts celebrated someone's birthday. Beer was had and that is a rare opportunity here in Afghanistan. I over-indulged.
The rest of my time at this base was some extreme over-indulgence. The French DFAC had some great bread, cheese, and meats. I took the opportunity to enjoy it. I regret it, but not much. I will just tighten things up to make up for it. A pound or two was gained, I'm sure, but I am still very happy with my progress. I am waiting seven days to weigh myself.
