Phew, what a long day! I'm worn out, that's for sure. So I went hiking like I said in my other journal...it was 5 miles. Not just walking 5 miles, but up and down hills and through leaves and over trees and tripping over roots. I'm glad that I took a snack and my lunch and dinner. I did really well on food all day and didn't cheat once! I had a meeting at this really great coffee shop tonight and so wanted one of their drinks....they put chocolate wafers in! But I got herbal tea, which I'm allowed to have.
So I exercised well. And ate well. Day 1 is a success! According to caloriesperhour.com I burned 1,200 calories on the hike! I only need to burn 2,300 more before I've burned a pound. Which is one of my goals.
I'm so excited to see the weight loss in 9 days!
I really really appreciate all of you reading my journal, giving me feedback and just being there to talk to. Thank you for all your support.

Way to go! Remember a while back when VictoriaLynn told us about the math she did? Well, I did the same thing, but in an Excel spread sheet. I'll be sending that to y'all in the contest. ;) It makes it easier when you know how much you've consumed vs. how much you've burned. You can do it!
