Solidly at 163.0 today. After two weeks of induction. Exactly the same as I have been for the last 10 months. :(

I'm going to go Primal now. I'm going to up my carbs to 50g and see what happens. Enjoying a sweet potato for breakfast. Yum. But I need to figure out exactly what *is* on my diet.

I got a layoff notice yesterday. After 20 years there, no more job after the end of the month. I'm not sure how that will impact my eating. Surely I will have more time to cook. I suspect I will need to beware of self-destructive impulses.

I definitely have the impulse to run away to Costa Rica for a couple of weeks after my job ends. Eh, I have to evaluate the ole bank account. Who knows how long I'll have to look for find work again. But eating fresh fish and fruit and walking along beaches and exploring rainforests and volcanoes and generally JUST NOT BEING HOME sounds like a good thing.

First sorry about the job...that stinks! Second, sorry that the weight isn't budging...I sure hear you on that one. Mine is finally moving again after the 36 hour fast and upping my walking some. Good luck with Primal...it is really easy to follow. A lot like Atkins pre-maintenance. I agree, walking along beaches, exploring rainforests and volcanoes does sound like a good thing!

Thanks Ctiss. I just changed my official diet to "transitioning to primal/paleo" which someone had entered as a possibility. I like that "transitioning" part. I'm going to miss diet Dr Pepper my fake tortillas most, I think. But once I have more time I can play around with recipes. It just seems like the universe is saying "time for REALLY big changes". Off to price flights to CR.
