Well there were three specific events that contributed to my horrible, horrible weight gain over the weekend. The first of which was that I binged Saturday night. It wasn't pretty. I grabbed a ton of starchy, grain-laden foods from the cabinate and gorged myself.

By Sunday morning, I had forgiven myself and was ready to move on. Then, my husband started cooking for the Super Bowl. I will give him cred for cooking mostly foods that were "diet safe" -- tons of lean meats and fresh cut veggies and fruit. It was the "tons" part that got me into trouble.

I also changed scales this morning and started weighing in on the Wii Fit. The electronic scale I had been using went up to 236 (gasp! that's a 6 pound gain!). Then, it jumped to 242. (My start weight?!). Then, down to 222. (No way.) And settled back onto 236. Even though the ending weight matched the weight on the Wii Fit, I cannot go through that type of Biggest-Loser-Style weigh in every morning. It would drive me crazy.

So that's it. I'm at 236 (again). There's nothing I can do about it now. So, I'll fight the crushing depression and just keep reminding myself that I'm still down 6 pounds.
