Naiomy's Journal, 25 January 2012

So i'm finally down from my teeny stall... feel like the scale will be moving for me this week... can't guarantee it every week, but i feel that for sure i'll get a lower weight by the weekend... i set a really nice list of goals, however lol, the 1st goal i set set the bar a little high... so now i have just over 5 to lose in 15 days to get to goal one... after that i literally broke my goals down into 2 lbs per month increments. cant handle the pressure of a high goal, and i really want to focus on enjoying my life and not the scale all the time.

this time around i've noticed a trend of good scale activity for maybe a couple weeks, then practically no activity for about 3 weeks... so i figured 2 lbs a month would be really attainable and reasonable. maybe a little low, but again.. no rush, no rush... enjoy ur day fs :)

I AGREE and was thinking about that last night, of course we all want the pounds to go away but feeling healthy seems to be way more important! Knowing you are putting in the work means the scale will move even if it takes longer than you want!!

We don't have to have a dead-line to reach our goal weight! We are still young, and this is a new lifestyle for us. We will make it to our goal weights, eventually. As long as the scale is going down, we're getting closer, despite how many days it takes. I know from my past experience I was getting caught up in "oh by next Friday I want to weigh this amount!" It's really a waste of energy and time to do that, because we cant really predict it. We can TRY to predict it, but most likely it will lead to disappointment which just makes you feel bad. The less you weigh the longer it takes to lose a pound, so I think 2 pounds a month goal is great and very reachable!! Good luck :)

thanks ladies! @ sarah yeah i feel like its a good thing to SHOOT for but as long as the scale is going the right way i don't care how long it takes... i been on this thing for years.. and i hate that i was at my goal and i let it slip away.. but my mentality is different now and i know i'm ready to hold on to it the next time .. :)

exactly @ inertiatic... i figured worst case i may not hit my first goal i'll just adjust them all.. i'm not gonna kill myself trying to meet a goal there's no way i can guarantee. or might just leave it and hope i do better than 2 lbs a month sometimes that will catch me up lol
