Another argument for Intermittent Fasting

I read this in the AARP Bulletin and thought I'd share:

"Fasting and Breast Cancer

Breast cancer research has long emphasized what cancer survivors should eat to stay healthy. But a new study says it may have more to do with how much they don't eat - specifically at night. The study, published in JAMA Oncology, found that not eating for 13 hours between dinner and breakfast may help women with early-stage breast cancer reduce their risk of recurrence by 36 percent. It's not clear why fasting would have this effect, but researchers noted that with every additional two hours of fasting, the average blood-sugar level went down and the women's hours of sleep increased. Better sleep quality and lower glucose could affect risk for disease, they said."

While this study was about women who had already had breast cancer, who knows whether this type of IF could also reduce one's risk?

Cancer feeds on glucose, don't feed it....it dies..

Did you ever stop to think about WHY everyone seems to have cancer? If we stopped eating all of this fake-food crap that our bodies turn to sugar we would stop feeding this overgrowth of cells.....which is cancer.

Every person has cells in their bodies that can turn malignant at any time, all it takes it the right chemistry to activate them once activated they must be fed and boy do we feed them. I'm gonna stop now before I get completely on top of my soapbox.
