Day 11. Getting real bored with this LCHF diet. Tired of salads. Tired of cheese, plain meats and non starchy veg. I made some scrambled eggs with ham and cheddar for lunch and actually physically gagged trying to swallow a bite.

Not sure what to make of this dilemma. It has been a good jump start, perhaps it's time to go back to a more normal diet for me with balanced carb? I have grown fond of the coconut oil and cream in the morning though, I'm going to keep that.

Other than that I've been good. I got through yesterday without excess carbs and so far today I'm on track. I'm really drooling over the idea of a PB&J though lol. I ended up missing my last night of class last night because my husband was stuck at work. Poor guy put in thirteen hours. He's been working tens pretty religiously and got stuck with an extra eight hour shift this past Saturday. Going to help with the post Christmas bills though, I appreciate him.

I crammed down the eggs, feeling nauseous. Better stay down.

Well that's about it. Hope all is well with you, buddies!

I don't eat eggs very often, they make me feel effervescent. There's a ton of ways to change up an LCHF menu plan to keep it from being boring, check out some of the recipes from dietdoctor Jenny posted not too long ago, those are a great start, and if you like spicy there's always jalapeno poppers, guacamole, and unbreaded hot wings to get things kicking.

if adding in more carbs, do it slowly. The higher fat on this diet with more carbs is a recipe for weight gain...

Have you tried intermittent fasting? Maybe give your stomach a rest part of the day...

There are tons of awesome LCHF recipes. You don't have to force yourself to eat eggs and plain meats all the time. Poke around for recipes and don't be afraid to try new things. Oopsie rolls are great for sandwiches. Zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash make awesome substitutes for spaghetti noodles - add meat and some lower carb sauce and you're good to go. Mashed Cauliflower casserole is an awesome sub for loaded mashed potatoes and it tastes amazing. Also, the first 2 - 3 weeks were the WORST for me. I was like an addict looking for a fix and literally ended up crying a few times because I wanted carby stuff so badly. The good news is that once I white knuckled it through that part the cravings vastly diminished to the point where, after a couple of months, they're practically non-existent. You can do this!

All of this ^^. Just google a low carb version of whatever you crave. More than likely there is a substitute. It may not be exactly the same, but any goal worth reaching is worth a little sacrifice. Good luck! :)

My Step Grandson who is living with us is a 12 year old juvenile diabetic on a VERY restricted diet. This is new for us so we are trying to eat pretty much the same way he does. I need new recipes for a bit of a picky eater who has not had a lot of help with his diet until now.

I couldn't do LCHF, no way. Still losing weight, though, slowly, and can eat anything I want, in moderation.
