LISfifty's Journal, 09 October 2015

This week the scale needs to move a bit more. Still wearing the boot, so I have not walked in a month. I have been getting in loads of cardio with lawn work, so my numbers are steady and the inches are slowly melting. I am really motivated now, back in my jeans, and my jackets are not tight. I go back to the podiatrist today, and hope to get back to my daily walks soon, though my foot is achy. Last night I enjoyed an evening out to the local botanical gardens where we each designed autumn wreaths to bring home. I had to laugh, as mine was rather spartan. The "helpers" kept encouraging me to fill in the entire wreath. But I am a minimalist at heart.. The big deal for me was that I had dinner before leaving, and did not eat at the function. I carried an apple with me for emergencies. That is real progress! I am deciding now whether to lose these last 6 pounds or park about here. I will feel better pushing on, and I will get in the rest of my clothes, and my cholesterol will likely drop.. This will require a yeoman' effort I think, because my natural set point is about where I am now. I have read that those with thinning bones need a little extra padding, and that the "elderly" should have a cushion as well. On the other hand I have read that extra pounds ages the body and mind. I lean towards getting a little more lean and making resistance training and aerobics part of my lifestyle. Thoughts? On another note I have agreed to host a birthday dinner tomorrow. So today I will pull out the banana "ice cream" recipes and try to come up with some tasty plant based no sugar and oil cookies or cake. Blessings on your journey!

You could still keep eating healthy just add a bit more calories and keep exercising. You will still lose weight like that but slowly and it will not feel like a diet but a lifestyle. With gradually losing weight you will also lower your cholesterol, fit into your clothes, eventually. Have a great weekend.
