Good morning buddies!

I had a great time yesterday catching up with my friend. It's therapeutic to talk to someone who has a daughter as challenging as my own. We ended up going to red lobster for lunch and it was divine. I have to give myself a pat on the back because right now they're having crab fest and one of the options was a meal containing two crab cakes, salmon with a crab hollandaise sauce and mashed potatoes. I wanted it, so freakin bad. But I knew that all of that on top of the salad and biscuits was way out of my caloric price range. I opted instead for a lunch size portion of grilled salmon with a plain baked potato and steamed broccoli, salad with vinaigrette and only one biscuit. Still calorically dense but not unmanageable. Ended the day with a nice deficit too.

We stopped by a resale shop and were looking at jeans. I didn't pick any up because I'm broke but I was eyeballing some twelves and I just might be able to squeeze into them. I will have to try sometime. If I can't I can always keep them for inspiration.

Doggie diet has commenced. His hot spot looks to be healing and isn't nearly so itchy anymore. I've taken him on two long walks this week (it was how we started our day today) and I just got done researching the caloric content of his dog food so I can start cutting down his intake. Like I said, he isn't obese but could probably stand to lose about ten-fifteen pounds. That's a lot for a dog. I'll keep you posted. Maybe he needs a fatsecret account lol.

So on my agenda for today, house work, studying, the lawn needs mowed, run to the store for a couple things. Ugh, the list never ends. Best get to it.

Have a great day guys :)

I'm glad you had a good time with your friend. I love red lobster, but hate most seafood. The popcorn shrimp is what I go for, I really like cocktail sauce. :) Once you have the money, those jeans are good motivation to have on hand. It's hard with dogs because they don't typically need as much food as we feed them, but if it's there they're like us and just eat it. They don't know how to exercise will power. Good for you for taking charge and being a good dog mom!

Good choice, Yolanda. You'll have to take dog exercising with you. Do set him up and FS account! I'll be his buddy 😀

I am SO proud of your rocking it the way you are rocking it! Those stupid cheddar bay biscuits at RL are addicting so we do NOT go there...broccoli, baked potato and salmon is great choice! Nicely done - shows a lifestyle change is i ever saw one!

Great job! And great choice too; your healthy election sounded very tasty as well. Way to make a smart choice and still have an enjoyable meal, instead of having to look enviously at everyone else's platter.
