Good morning everyone! I'm having the hardest time getting up and running this morning. I think it's because the weekend is looming, which for me means 4:30am alarms for my clinicals. I'm trying to stock up on sleep while I can.

Busy day today. My SUV is finally ready to be picked up from the shop, so you betcha I'll be out for a bike ride this afternoon!! I have to have dinner done before my little man's baseball game tonight because after the game I will be going straight to the hospital to get my assignment for this weekend. Pre-Clinical prep work requires hand written med cards for up to fifteen of my pts. meds, and three written reports on their diagnoses. My instructor doesn't have to give us assignment until Friday at four, but she's a nice lady so it's available a day early, giving me all day friday to get that work done. Thank god, I was not looking forward to being up all night working on it. I'm going to park on the top floor of the parking garage and take the stairs up and down lol, should definitely give me a boost in my step challenge!


Which reminds me, we have to dress professionally when we go to the floor for our assignment today so I dug out my 'interview' clothes lol. I have two button-up collared shirts I bought a year ago. According to my weight loss chart my weight hasn't changed that much since last year, maybe five-ten pounds less, but they seem to fit a lot better. Can't complain about that. I just found out a couple weeks ago that we will have to buy our own plain white scrubs for graduation, and I'm super excited about that. I've always wanted those cute, form fitting scrubs. Since the plan it to be at goal for graduation, the goal... the 'prize' rather, is going to be those cute scrubs. I have a 'before' picture I took from our capping ceremony just last month. I was wearing the looser fitting scrubs, kind of makes me look frumpy. Excited to be able to share that side by side with a before/after. Even though I know my progress thus far has been great, I'm excited to finally get to goal.

In some ways I feel like the year I spent spinning my wheels was to my benefit. I've adjusted to my body the way it is, and learned a lot about what it takes to maintain and stay on track even when things get stressful. Hopefully that experience will help me be able to maintain my goal weight better when I finally get there.

Tomorrow is my day "off", but I'll be spending it on clinical prep. Hoping to be able to get in a solid workout as well, and I will need to grocery shop to plan meals for the weekend.

No use fretting over the long to-do list. Best get to it.
