doctors office weight 237. told to exercise, lift weights and do strenuous exercise. PA seems to feel that I am not losing fast enough. now I'm confused about what to eat.
229.9 lb Lost so far: 3.1 lb.    Still to go: 54.9 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You look like you are losing fine. Not sure why the doctor would want you to lose faster. If you are happy with what you are eating and its sustainable, just keep going. Make sure you are getting plenty of protein, fruits and veggies. Fat's like peanut butter and avocado have been shown to aid in weight loss. Greek yogurt is great. A combo of cardio and strength training can also help you lose fat/inches. But start slow and build. If you are hurting and tired, you may want to give up. Start by walking if you don't do any exercise. Walk Away The Pounds dvds are a great place to start too. Be proactive and find out about nutrition and fitness. Read fitness magazine and articles on online. There is ton of conflicting info so you have to sift through it and take from it what works for you. Good luck!
