what types of food do you like? Do you like fruit? What type of protein other than fish do you like? Do you like nuts/seeds? What types of veggies do you like? What types of starches do you like?

I like all types of food and can cook most of it too. I cook most of my food, rarely eat out. Not a baker though I do have a sweet tooth. I like all proteins (beef, chicken, tofu, quinoa, greens, beans, almost all nuts). I like them all. I've eaten and tried all seeds; chia, flax, sesame to name a few. I like all veggies too except I do not like olives but will eat them (I use olive oil). Starches, of course, I grew up with rice so if and when I have to have it I try to eat brown, black and red and mix it with regular or red quinoa, but when white rice is there, I eat it (I have a teenager that has to have it). I will try to get her to get use to the brown because I need to stick to not giving in and buying the white. I rarely eat pasta or make it, but when I do I do use whole grain and sometimes mix half and half (I do have kids and a budget) so sometimes it's not easy. Rice noodles and noodles in general is a huge staple in the oriental cuisine and I sometimes struggle with that (I love my homemade pho). I've done the juicing, even used organic spirulina and green tea powder. I use herbs. Grow my own garden (small garden). Can't wait to harvest my beets. What ever it is I have tried it all (I believe). I know what to do and eat, I just need to stick to it and give myself that strict diet. I will not limit myself too much on what I can eat because I don't want to crash. My food log lately hasn't all been good. I LOVE FOOD (tasty, flavorful and spicy).

Forgot to mention: We always have fruit and vegetables in the house. I have little ones so I buy for them, bananas, apples; seasonal fruit (they are cheaper in season) cherries, mangoes, peaches/nectarines, pomegranates (my favorite, but expensive), berries and more. Veggies, I eat them all. I just need to eat more raw veggies/foods. Without them, I'd feel dry.

Ohhh man! I love Pho. I haven't had it for so long. I agree, don't limit yourself or you will just find yourself wanting those foods more. Have just a little bit of the stuff you know isn't that good for you and eat a bunch of veggies/salad/healthy stuff with it!
