Very good. Don’t they send you a copy of the actual report for your records?. It would be most unusual for them to find an area of concern and not tell the patient and let them know it can be monitored.

Kenna, I agree with you! Thanks for bringing
your nursing experience to this forum. I am vigilant about getting physicians notes after visits and keeping all of my own lab work. Since I don’t actually see a doctor for mammograms I was less diligent. Every year I got what I thought was a full report- nothing to see here.
This year I went in off schedule
because something didn’t feel right. I was blown away when I did see the physician and she said that they had been watching those two areas for several years and there is no problem. What?!!!!! So then I was put on 6 month follow-ups, this being my first one. I saw a NP who had little to say. So on Monday, I will reach out to the physician, get a copy of the new report ( I have the last one) and be sure that that is not anything more to know. If you think of something that I need to al please alert me.

You can also get a copy from the imaging facility. Either a paper copy or a digital. Keeping our own medical records is becoming more and more important. My sister, who is a medical disaster, has probably 15 doctors. She was a secretary all of her life so is extremely organized. She has a loose leaf notebook that she devided Into sections with each doctors name. In each section she dates each appointment, why she went, what was decided, any new medication or testing ordered etc. if she has to have contact with someone for authorization or whatever she documents the name of the person she spoke to etc, makes for much easier follow up. I don’t really have too many issues so do t see the doctor much but I try to follow her lead. May need those good record keeping habits some day.
