I'm deliberately staying away from the scale for a few more days. Mostly because I have a feeling it won't be an accurate indicator of my progress right now, judging from my degree of muscle soreness (P90X does NOT mess around!) I'm sure my muscles are retaining a bit of water. As long as I know I'm hitting my food goals and activity levels 100%, I know I'm getting closer to my goals.

Scale? I don't need no stinkin' scale to tell me I'm on the right track! (Said in my best Blazing Saddles voice)

OK, folks... I'm off for my hike in the summer sun and then it's Day 3 of P90X. The rest of my day will then be spent studying for my CPT exam and prepping vegetables from my CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) delivery! A mountain of farm-fresh organic veggies delivered to my doorstep each week! What's not to LOVE about that?

Happy Hump Day, Everyone!

CPT = Certified Personal Trainer. P90X is quite a serious challenge. (Boy, are my thighs sore today!) But it isn't as scary as I thought it would be! I have been trying to talk myself out of doing it for months, telling myself it was going to be too hard and that I wasn't good enough to try it. But I took the plunge two days ago, and it feels good to conquer that self-doubt!

There's no way I would have done this program a year ago. I never thought I would get to the point where I was fit enough to do this. A year ago, I would have quit after the warm-up! Now, I'm more determined than ever to change my self-defeating ways, once and for all! I think you're doing great! Keep up the great work!
