Well it's my birthday today. The big 46. I wanted to be at 180 for my birthday. Instead I am holding at my current weight. my mother in law need me a Black Russian birthday cake. As tempting as it is I don't think I will have a piece like I normally would cave in 2.it's a bittersweet day. 7 years ago my mom passed away on June 4th so birthdays haven't been quite the same. But I will get through the day with my family and friends and we'll keep plugging away on this journey of my weight loss.

Love and hugs, ANNALISA. Such a loss around your birthday can certainly take away the luster of the day. I urge you to bask in your wonderful self today and take time to reflect on all the positive ways your mom has influenced you to be the person you are today, accomplishing the things you are accomplishing. Find something that makes you feel special (even if it's not cake!) :)

I know what you mean about birthdays. One of my grandchildren died the day before my birthday. She was like a daughter to me; I had cared for her since birth. Treat yourself gently. You will get through it. You will never forget, but it will hurt less with time. ((((Hugs))))
