Coming off of a cheat weekend, I'm having issues with snacking so I end up eating to many carbs and calories because I'm not picking the right foods. So I'm going to be deligent and write down everything I eat as I go tomorrow then I'm going to cut the food in half, I need to be uncomfortable and hungry!! Also decided that I'm going to have a cheat meal once a week starting next weekend, PROTEIN, PROTEIN, PROTEIN, VEGGIES AND WATER....GOT TO GET ON IT!!

Try not to punish yourself.... Does that ever really work in the end? Yes to veggies, yes to water.... Let the past go. I only feel qualified to say that because I walk in those shoes too. My goal is to plan my meals better and write down every freaking thing I put in my mouth. You can do it! Hang in there.

Don't let yourself get hungry because it slows the metabolism and leads to binging. Like Rnmoxie said, don't punish yourself. Just begin eating healthy again and you will progress. You can't undo what happened. All you can do is learn from it :)

I agree with the above comments. Also, you're on the right track with protein, I find I stay full (and satisfied) much longer with higher protein foods (key word is 'food' not just protein powders, drinks, etc) than other foods.

Yes, don't punish yourself. You don't want to use food as reward or punishment. It sets you up for a vicious cycle. Food is fuel for the body. You should feel satisfied after you eat. If you are full, you have eaten too much. It's okay to let yourself get a little hungry sometimes (how else will you be able to read your body's signals), just not ravenous. Cheat days are very controversial. I find it's better to just add what I want in to my plan (it makes diet sustainable). If you want a nice meal out, have it. Just plan for it. Good luck!
