Miss Kitteh's Journal, 23 February 2014

Set my daily calorie limit to 1,267. I try to eat just a bit below that number to allow my tendency to under-count. I'm staying active.

Walking, jogging, elliptical, and some brutal weight-lifting once a week. I haven't tried fasting once a week yet, but I like those times during the day when my emotions say EAT! and I say NO! and drink a glass of water. I like being a little hungry those times. It's re-training my mind and body.

But most of all I like the way I've begun to feel about myself and the way I've slimmed down. Sometimes I mess up and get discouraged. The loss is slow, and sometimes I gain a pound or two, but I've averaged losing a pound a week since September 2013.

I wrote this journal entry today so I could return to it during those phases where I'm having a hard time, to remind myself.

Your discipline is outstanding, way to go! ... but I suggest you not starve yourself, either. For me, if my calorie intake drops too low for me, I tend to stumble and binge eat... then ugh, I am right back to trying to hold the calories.

I'm nowhere near as disciplined as you are in regards to working out .. heck, today is the first day I actually stuck to the activity on xBox without taking a break. It felt good... well, it made me feel like I actually accomplished something. Feeling good would require a massage table and a foot rub! ha! Congratulations on losing a pound a week! Personally, I can't wait to get the same results. Take care.

Thanks, guys. It's a hard road, but when I think back on all those years I ate everything and anything and sat around staring at screens, I know I've come a long ways. I was struggling every day for awhile, and still struggle sometimes, but it seems to be getting easier. I'll probably eat my words along with everything in the fridge tonight, LOL.

LOL .. yikes, don't do that or we'll have to hold an emergency weight therapy session for you later tonight to try and talk you out of the fridge with your arms empty of goodies.

Oops. I ate way over my budget tonight. I knew if I got all full of myself that would happen. Now I'm not full of myself but full of food. I'm STUFFED. And feeling rotten. Oh well, tomorrow's another day, as everyone says.
