I havent been here in a while. I have to get back to journaling and keeping track of what Im doing again. I have lost about 161 pounds, and my progress is still going in the right direction. I want to lose another 100 pounds. I have now begun training for my first 1/2 triathalon. I am walking miles on the treadmill, and riding miles on the bike. I have been swimming a mile at a time 6 times a week. The gym has become home to me. Its ok with me though. I decided to put in my food journal what I ate yesterday, and I realize that I am eating too much again. I need to curb my eating. You just dont realize a handful of pretzels, or crackers, or a slice of cheese, or a spoonful of something here and there, it adds up fast. I did not do those things for a long time, and I have fallen back into old habits. I will change that now. I have started to consider myself an athlete for the first time in my life. I think I dont give myself enough credit sometimes. I think swimming a mile in 38 minutes is a long time, and not actually that hard to do. When in reality, it is a big accopmplishment, and something to be proud of. I hate to pat myself on the back. I never have been good at it accepting positive things about myself, or compliments. Im sure this is one of my character flaws that has led to my lifelong struggle with my weight. Im working on it all. I am a work in progress. I will be 40 soon, and its not too late to become the person I have always known is inside me fighting for life.
