German clothes sizes are just insane...
Just went buying some elegant trousers for an important work meeting in three days from now.
Well, at home I have some trousers that might work, but atthe moment I am a bit too heavy tofit in (I know they kind of fit when I am in theweight range of 50-58 and now I am about 63kg). Well, the trousers I have home are an Italian size 42. Today I tried an Italian size 42 of a German brand (German size 36) and it was fitting well, slightly tight for the kindof trousers. That's crazy.
I always tend to overestimate my trousers' size, but this time it makes no sense at all.
I ended up buying German size 40, which they clim is Italian size 44. I am surprized, I did not expect to fitin a size 44, since I gained weight this year.
Well, as always, it might be self image issues. I tend to see myself as fatterthan what I am.
Will work on that.
So, how lean was I last winter when I was about 56kg???
Well, the explanation might simply be that sizes change from brand to brand and from country to country. In Italy the obsession for skinny is so strong, that I wearsizeL for shirts and I am theedge of what they sell in shops, just 5 kg more and I would need to go to oversize people shops. And in Germany often I wearsizeS or XS depending on the brand. Same person.
