All the cookies and snacks are gone now from the house. I managed to get rid of them at the weekend's parties and give them to the kids in their lunches. ahhhh... temptations are OUTA here! At least until the next batch rolls around! I'm afraid to weigh in.. I think I'll wait until Friday.
My Grandmother's funeral was beautiful yesterday. My mom had ordered lots of purple flowers which were her favorites. there were even purple roses that someone had sent! My daughter had a hard time with it though. she didn't want to view the body, and whenever someone was shedding a tear, she'd do the same. I think she just didn't know how to feel, so she felt everything. I still think it was a worthwhile experience for her. Kids need to know what happens in death, and that there is eternal life after our body dies. She knows that her great grandma is in heaven sewing quilts and baking sugar cookies. we'll get a special ornament for the tree to remind us of our "Grandma angel." Always watching over us.
