Feeling good! 50 pounds down since starting this journey in December. I am now 15 pounds away from my 1st goal weight of 180. I know I can do this and I'm excited about it!
195.2 lb Lost so far: 32.8 lb.    Still to go: 15.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I follow my own plan, which I came up with after years of riding the weight-loss roller coaster. My daily calorie intake is no more than 1200 calories - low fat, high protein, little to no white products (sugar, pasta, flour, rice, potatoes, etc.) I made a list of fruits & veggies that I like, and those are the ones I eat on a regular basis. Most of them are the non-starchy veggies - broccoli, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, salads, etc. I also try to drink tons of water, like 128 oz/day. I try to workout consistently 5-6 days per week, for 45 mins - 1 hour each time. My workout is mainly walking outside on a trail, which has hills and flat land for good cardio.

That sounds like what I want to do and started today but isn't 1200 too low? I was wanting to do just that but worried about it.

It works for me. If you go below 1200, that could be a problem. I needed to see the scale go down and i had a lot of weight to lose.

I need to loose about 50 pounds and do like your plan. It's similar to a healing diet. Do you ever eat bread?

I don't eat bread on a regular basis and try to stay away from all flour type products for the most part. No cookies, crackers, donuts, foods coated in flour, etc. I am doing this by choice, not because I have too. I was not a real big bread eater, so it is not something that I crave. I also thought that I might be allergic to gluten, so that is the main reason I stopped white flour products. Every now and then I will eat a piece of bread, but I try to steer clear of bread products.
