Well, NOW I've done it!! I've once again FALLEN OFF THE WAGON!

While I took a break, I was watching 'Fashion Police' on E! [one of my guilty pleasures...] I broke down and had 7 cookies AND an ice cream sandwich! I wrote a long paragraph in my Emotion and Foods Journal about it... Now it's back to the drawing board... [and studying my research on Emotional Eating] Once again it's STRESS that's my driving force... I have also realized I usually do this while watching TV [so if I try to put it off, [delaying gratification - a proven effective technique...] then go to the Computer and work to get my mind off it, then I should be in the clear...] That is my strategy for NEXT TIME... I have since thrown the cookies in the garbage disposal, and have placed a moratorium on the ice cream sandwiches [those are for Wolf ONLY!!!]

What you did and who you are, are two DIFFERENT things! We still must take responsibility for our actions but we also have the ability to move beyond them! Grandma always told me
not to confuse the doer with the deed!
You can 'not like' what a person has done,
but still like the person! When we learn to separate the two we can SEE ourselves for WHO we are and not WHAT we've done! Then we can truly LOVE OURSELVES! [No matter what we've done in the past!]

Boy, does THAT ring TRUE! :)

I have documented my transgression and am going to do my 5 mile walk video today as penance... [also am going to study more of my 'Emotional Eating' research...]

NEXT TIME I have a PLAN! [Plan your work and work your plan!...] I SHOULD be able to sidestep my urges next time they rear their ugly heads!

We are ALL just a 'Work in Progress' and will continue to be one until we're dead! As long as we're growing and learning form our mistakes, then that's all that we can ask!

Until tomorrow's weigh in... If I've gained even more weight, that's okay; because I've also GAINED THE KNOWLEDGE of WHY I eat the way I do... [and that's worth a THOUSAND POUNDS! Okay, maybe not a THOUSAND...LOL :) ]
