This morning I walked 2 miles! Monday, I'll add another half mile onto that, and I'm going to keep going until I'm back up to my 6-7 miles a day!

I felt the best I've ever felt when I was doing that!

My back is giving me grief but I'm just going to 'walk thru' the pain! [As long as I don't get the muscle spasms that render me incapable of any movement... I hope those don't occur while I'm away from home!]

Listen to me, talking negatively about my poor body! 'I'm sorry! Thank you for being a functioning body and for getting me around as well as you do! I love you, body!'

This may sound strange, but it's all part of Diane Petrella's 7 secrets to 'releasing' your weight...we don't want to 'lose' it, because that implies that we want to find it again! [which of course, we don't!]

Anyway, it's all about giving your body credit for being/doing what it is/does... and treating it as kindly as you would a friend or family member...Talking to your body changes the electronic vibrations associated with it...

Try talking to yourself negatively about your body, and really concentrate on how it makes you feel, physiologically; then talk kindly to your body and see how differently your body responds... Trust me, there's a BIG DIFFERENCE!

And she says that we must enlist our body's help while on this weight 'releasing' journey... so we must be kind and speak only words of encouragement!

In other words, I KNOW my body won't let me down in the pursuit of physical fitness that I have set as my goal!
