Less than half a pound is a bit discouraging. I had my first couple of servings of nuts and berries but I can't say I think I went overboard. I didn't even up my carbs, just widened my available food.

My friend Tina says one shouldn't think about "losing weight" because our subconscious doesn't like to lose things. She thinks it will try to find the lost weight and get it back. *grin*

Seeing Cameron Diaz flat belly in Knight & Day was kind of interesting. It doesn't look womanly to me somehow. I don't want to be all flat & angular. Of course, with my body that probably wouldn't be possible no matter what. I'm built for curves (and I like it).

So not really much to say. Other than the slow loss it has been a good week. Lots to do at work, did good exercise sessions both on the exercycle and the Wii. Had a lovely BBQ on Saturday and lazy day on Sunday. On to the next week!

You are doing fine. Adding in other foods slowly will get your body used to eating a little more carbs. That's the one bad things with Atkins. When you eat any carbs, that scale pops up quickly. Half a pound is great.

Rowanfair, it is common for our weight loss to slow down when we first start to introduce higher carb foods like the nuts and berries. If you can, try limiting to only 1 newly introduced food at a time in order to see how it affects us. Also, it could be 1-2 weeks before we will know if it is going to affect us.

Hey, 1/2 lb down is stil DOWN...I weigh in tomorrow and am feeling heavier, but then on the days when I feel light and like I have accomplished something the scale usually shows UP - so go figure. Yeah you for even sticking to it and I'm impressed with the over 18 gone...hope to get there myself someday!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I love that about this community. I had heard about the adding carbs slowing things down, Suzi, I was just hopeful. Keli (it is Keli? And I'm Rowan, btw) I hear what you say. I did add almonds & raspberries in the same week. I'll try and just add one or the other I guess. I let my feeling of scarcity get me (if I don't eat that now my husband will LOL) Thanks Nette. *fingers crossed for your weigh-in* Let's get together and try out the Wii soon!
