Kenna Morton's Journal, 08 April 2018

I have seen many people mentioned that they eat that Dave’s Killer bread and a lot have talked about the relative expense of eating healthier.. I bought some to try today, the thin sliced. It was good, but fairly expensive. I bought two others as well for the freezer, and then did a price and nutrative value chart.
Dave’s was the most expensive at I think $5.69.for 28 gram slices. Orowheats new organic 22 grain and seeds weighed in at 48 grams and $4.89. Lastly, orowheat’s 12 grain came in at $3.89 for 38 gram slices.

SPOILER ALERT—- almost zero difference in the nutrative value. Check out the graph below. The only real difference is Dave’s is sliced thin. But, is it worth the price difference?

Maybe bake at home? There are recipes for no-knead bread, if regular bread is too much trouble...

Interesting! I find I don't spend as much as usual on food because I am eating literally half as much as I used to.

I go with Dave’s because of the low carbs. Switching honestly has made me lose weight much faster.

I don't eat bread. Nevertheless I usually spot packaging gimmicks pretty quickly. When some product claims healthy and it is smaller portions but charges more it's a win for them.
