I'm starting to feel very discouraged. I went on 6 mile walks the past 3 days and I've been sticking to low calories for the most part. The problem is that the weight is staying the same. Maybe I should try a different form of exercise. If I weigh myself tomorrow and don't see any change I will know something's up.

Don't get discouraged, it took me 2 weeks to see a change on the scales after I took up walking. After 4 months I feel great.

I can tell you what the problem is. You are eating way too few calories. Trust me on this. You need to eat at least 1200 per day. You don't eat enough food to create energy to burn that fat.

I will test the 1200 calorie thing and see if that helps me. Thanks for the advice!

If you eat below 1200 cal your body goes into starvation mode, and starts to hold onto fat because it doesn't think you are going to get enough fuel to do daily normal functions. You could actually start gaining weight if you eat below 1200 cal. Going below 1200 maybe once every week or two should be ok, but not every day.
Besides, people are much more likely to fail if they deprive themselves. I love food too much to do that. I try to stick to 1400 -1500 calories per day. Thats still pretty low. You will loose weight on that. think about how much you ate before? Im sure that even at 1500 per day you are still pulling a 1000 calorie deficit . That equals 2 pounds per week...of fat! Not just water weight.
