JDbowler's Journal, 11 February 2016

So, I have a question for everyone. I know I will get different opinions from everyone but what I'm doing doesn't seem to be working so here it goes. I work out early in the morning. I usually eat my breakfast after the workout. Is it better to eat before you workout, or after? I don't really have any hunger in the morning when I get up, so I have just been going to the gym, allowing my hunger to get there, and usually when I am done I am hungry. I just don't know if this may be a hinder or not.

Other than that, things are going great. I hope you all have had a great week so far, and the weekend is almost here. Thanks for your help. :-)

As long as you have enough energy when you are working out then do what works for you. I have done both and actually feel like it weighs me down if I eat before! As long as you get some protein in and good carbs when as soon as you get home, or even have a snack with you to have right away

I agree with Blondie :) also make sure your evening meal supports your workout goals.

I would consider having a light carbohydrate, such as a breakfast bar or fruit/milk that can help to fuel your workout. I would then have a balance of carbohydrate and protein post-workout, such as a smoothie with protein and fruit/milk to replenish, and of course, water, water, water!
