Depends on what kind of fit right. Base metabolism is based on tissues needs. So if you didn’t workout but has more tissues then yes your base metabolism will burn more than the fit version of you with less tissues albeit assuming you are at a lesser weight. But if you are able to get to your sedentary weight with a fitter composition it will burn more. But yes exercise is better for the heart than no exercise

I won’t tell you how many until I keep it consistent, but it was a lot more than usual yesterday :), for me. I got even more than that on average years ago, even in the middle of summer, in 90-100 degree heat Fahrenheit with a heat index of “feels like 100+.” I couldn’t do that now, but eventually will. Losing for any reason, and eating well and doing anything regularly, is first though. Baby steps.
