Supergainz1's Journal, 15 July 2023

So these pics are not recent. They are last years. But on the left is 162 vs on the right 171-173.
On the left I was average my 1900 cals. And on the right 2600 cals. And I was maintaining that for awhile before I jump to 2800

And still saw no change so I had to force fed myself 3k+ calories before things started to move upwards again. So there’s a happy place that your body is feels free to expend energy. And for me come if you from a 162 cut was 173. As you can see there’s not much fat added if at all, it’s mostly water from glycogen and sodium. And that would have been an easy maintenance as I was satisfied with 2600 cals easily. Moral of the story, you can’t stay at the lowest weight you cut to. Your body needs to refill itself so it’ll be free to expend energy willingly again vs if I would have stayed at 162 I would have to keep eating at 1900-2000k cals and my body was trying it’s best to reserve energy for example being lazy, metabolically and physically.

Yea I think it was otb or tud that was experiencing this also. Or both of them. There’s an optimal calorie for a given composition

Lol same dilemma as me! I too don’t know if I want to be a thiccc mami or not. But think of it this way. You could be both? You could be a thick mami and when you decide to cut you get an upgrade in lean mass. Muscle doesn’t atrophy til more than a week without stimulation. You might see reduced in size but that’s just the swelling going down from your body finishing repairing. My workout schedule now is only 3-2 days a week and it feels awesome. Like I’m going into my workout 100% and on my rest days I feel stronger. Which is what I imagine training would make me feel. That said you have to know how to hit intensity in a safe manner. Push your body fat with control n feel... embracing the pain zone longer

You look more cut on the left, but what feels healthy for you in your body? I've known a lot of body builders that maintain an unhealthy lifestyle for the sake of appearances and I always question if it's worth it.

Don’t get me wrong cheesepuff lol I think you look gorgeous right now! It’s just there’s two ways to approach a leaner physique from where you are at. You can go leaner from here which would be pretty hard and takes extreme discipline. Even when you reach it, what about maintaining that weight you know. Or you can bulk 10lbs and cut back 10lbs and you’ll be at the same weight but leaner cuz of the added lean mass. I think you would still be a bombshell at 5lbs heavier and 10lbs heavier. So it’s like a win win, I think. Yes it really is preference. But size I find intriguing. Like I didn’t know I like to be 185 till I got there. Sturdier, more strength and more gravity 😂

Looking solid in both 💪. Was gym time about the same as well? Calorie averaging…. Good idea 👍

Great question 66! I think I added more movement into the routine and or added sets. Cuz of the extra energy. And possible an extra day also just cuz I felt like I can. That contributes to it also
