So what you are saying was you took it easy today🤣. As if. And on days it’s not humid? Wowowowowowow.

Lol... not on purpose.. it was just so hard to breathe and it was inducing the feelings of puking... but I felt like I could have pushed for more. My mind tapped out faster than my muscles did from the burning and lack of air.... Shameful. This is a reminder for next time, to do better. Heat index at 90 this morning with 60% humidity. It’s only gonna get worse. Base temps suppose to be near the 100s in the next few days.... gotta focus n toughen up.

No shame in listening to your body super. Are you able to workout indoors on days like that?

Humid here too. 100% Deadly and drenched. Even my AC is struggling. 😒

It’s not that, I could have pushed more but didn’t want to suffer more. The term no pain no gain comes at that exact moment. It’s how far you can take it. Not the after effect. Anyways, nope no room

Yea wifey, I totally forgot my method of pouring water on myself to cool down. That’s what I’ve been doing previous years. But this is the 1st of the season, now I know better. And knowing is half the battle... g.I joe 😏

My trainer said the old thinking no pain no gain (which i grew up on) is antiquated and a leading cause of injuries trying to get those last couple of reps. She’s been right about everything else so far so I believe it. Especially after watching my hubs injuries starting when he was in his late 30’s up to now (almost 45). Dont injure yourself brother then you will really suffer.

Going to do a push workout tonight myself, but mine is indoors. Stay hydrated!!

It really depends on your lvl. Yes if you sacrifice too much form and swing things just to get extra reps then that’s where the greater chance of injuries comes in. As you get advanced you will feel the muscles working better and pushing with in form, not perfect but good enough where there’s control. When the muscles are screaming that’s when the most gainz occur. How much more you can get out of the muscle will determine the need for growth

Super i was always the girl that was like, “cmon one more!! YOU CAN DO IT GIVE ME ONE MORE”. I started to say i never got injuries but thats not true. I was doing flys with 35’s (first time with 35’s up from 30’s) and hubs was spotting me and my right shoulder just let go. Yes i tore it. Months of physical therapy and it still twinges and that was about 8 or 9 years ago.

When we are younger i think there is some ego involved with poundage lifted and as we get older it becomes more of a balance with strength and staying healthy at the same time. Im sure you are careful super im just putting it out there for those who aren’t.

Oh yea trust me I know. The 1st year I started working out I tore my shoulder. Lots of tears at night for like 3-4 months. Even now it clicks. And I have to get in position and let it clock into place first before I can lift. But I’m the kind of person that is honest. I was overtraining. I would go into a workout sore. And the soreness turns to aches. But I still do it. Cuz after a couple sets it would go away. I was dipping 80+ idk why but this time I didn’t control on the way down and all that force landed on my left shoulder. It was hurting then what tore it was my friend had challenged me to a 1 arm push-up. Well I did it with my right, which was fine then I attempted it with my left and it snapped something like an elastic band. But in conclusion, I lack a lot of knowledge then. About recovery, about control. I was basically pushing my body so hard so often that I was grinding it down. So instead of training to strengthen my body I was training and destroying my body. I take recovery and control very seriously now. And would back down in weights if I feel some isn’t isn’t 100%. For instance squats, I normally do 315s. My left hip doesn’t feel 💯 yet so I dropped it to 255. I have ego, but my ego is the driver to new heights. People are mistaking ego to bad forms lol

Without ego everyone would be happy being skinny. Or just lifting 10lbs... your ego tells you you are capable of more, it wants more for self. What hurts people is bad form and lack on control. It’s not ego

So i dont mind working out when im sore. I kind of enjoy that soreness makes me feel like I’ve worked hard. It’s just when it’s beyond sore. Rule of thumb if its sharp pain there will be no gain and stop immediately kind of thing.

I use to cheesepuff, back when I use to do push pulls n legs. Which was why I always dread leg days... but when I switched to full body it only made sense to split the two, since it’s the most taxing movement. And now there’s no electricity line back there. I use to fill bottles of water up and pour on myself but that slipped my mind today. Just bummed that my mind tapped out from what feels like 2-3 reps in the tank 😒 lack of air not want to puke stopped me from getting there.

Warning—-don’t mix the water thing and the electrical🤣. (Haha)

Lol... it’s like 300 or 400 maybe even 500ft from the house. Water works tho, I did that last year. My app says air is good! You probably checked the city. But I live closer to the coast. Easter nc. I just need to not wuss out. It’ll make me feel like puking but I don’t think I actually will. Like that extreme feeling of dying. If you’ve ever ran and already out of breathe and force yourself to sprint. That’s that kind of feeling...

Lol oh yea that’ll give me a boost

Dang speaking of peach. The one I posted was the only one I got to eat! It had 8 more and the strong thunderstorms with the heavy winds I guess it blew them off the trees n the chickens ate it all

It depends on which corner you buy them from 🤔
