Wow, that's quite a fish! 

That's a lot of high quality food! 

Lol I had a customer that was short on money, and he was like how about fish. He told me he got some big ones but I didn’t think it’d be this big! Never had a catfish this big before. 2 of that size and 3 half that size 

I'm jealous! Time to go fishing ;) Enjoy! 

Losing you fish for catfishes too? 

No, I don't think I'd have the upper body strength to reel something like that in. At least not yet :) 

Oh ok, cuz they way they fish for these is they use their arm as lures 😂 

I like to think I'm a country boy but I draw the line at noodling and eating organs lol . that's a big catfish is that another small cat sticking out from under it or a different type of fish?  

Is this one meal? LOL.  

Maybe next week you could trade him blackberries for another fish. 

Have you ever gone noodling super ? Just thr thought of going under water and sticking my arm in a underwater hole on the side of a river bank and wanting a fish to bite it and them try and death roll sounds a bit too intense. I would be afraid of what else is in those holes  

Catfish Courtbouillon! 

If you go noodling in Louisiana, there's a pretty good chance something will catch you, and it won't be a catfish. 

Lol otb yea that’s a small catfish underneath it. Well normal sized. But no I haven’t been noodling. We have brackish water. So these waters could contain sharks m alligators. They try to get me to go with them but I don’t trust it lol. They’re born here so I guess it’s normal for them. 

Bananas that’s a good idea! Not blackberries tho I love that stuff... but I have plenty of eggs that the chickens barter with me for a place to stay with some food 😏 

Cheesepuff it’s funny you asked that. Cuz I just noticed that the slime on these things instantly softens my hands!! They should bottle these stuff. My hands feels soft now 🤣 but yea you have to scrape out the slime 1st. Then I fillet it up. Cut them into 8oz pieces, season it up. And I could either pan fry it on the non stick or grill them. When they are this big, the skin crisp up kinda like pork skin and the fatty part under the skin tastes yummy!! Also the head bone is huge! And as hard as a deer bone. I tried to chop them up for the dogs. I would have taken pictures if I knew y’all wanted to see some gore 🤷🏾‍♂️

So is that size one or two meal's ? 

Brings back memories..my dad was a great fisherman and the amount of catfish and trout he caught was amazing. We had fish once a week at least.
