Sherry, I couldn't believe it! I am perplexed by the pink eye especially. I worked with kindergarten age children for over 35 years and only had pink eye once. I'm a bit of a germaphob and I wash my hands alot! I can't understand why it came back. While at concert my eye started watering and I thought that was strange and by time we got home my cough was in full force and my eye had begun to swell. Woke up in middle of night with it stuck together..yuck!

Sounds like the infection is still lurking in your body. Your immune system isn't strong enough to fight it off. I'm so sorry! The description of your day made me smile til you got to the end.

pink eye is one of the symptoms of the new strain of Covid.

Mgu42, I ve been sick on and off for over a month and I had heard that too about pink eye and COVID. I was tested twice and tested negative both times. I'm almost beginning to wonder if I had a false negative reading...I DK but am going to try and get an appointment with a new dr.

The Grateful Dead were incredible in concert. I saw them twice in their heyday and and once later on. Always the best shows.

It looks like you had good weather for this mini vaca, that is a plus.

Kenna, thanks, it was beautiful. A bit warm in afternoon but not intolerable. Concert did not fail expectations!💜 I'm curious, what is your opinion on my illness? I am so perlexed. I got sick on April 17th and can honestly say I was pretty ill for about 25 days. I am able to function now but still have trouble breathing and now with pink eye again...I'm still doing nebulizer 2xs a day and always have coughing guts at night when I lie down...

I'm glad you had a good time, but that sucks getting pink eye again! My ENT doc told me Acid reflux can make you cough when laying down, and coughing produces acid even when you can't taste it. So, you get into this loop where one reinforces the other. I'm not saying your cough isn't from an illness but if you're at the end of it and it's a dry tickle that puts you into fits at night try taking Claritin or Prilosec or some acid reducing type medicine if your Dr approves and they don't have negativeinteractions with your other meds. See if that helps calm it down a bit. Anyway, you look great!!! Hope you're feeling better soon!

I accidentally added Claritin. thats not an acid reducer but an allergy medicine.

Just to refresh my brain, was the initial respiratory illness Covid related or just a routine cold? I know you have tested a couple of time, now with the pinkeye presence and the continuing respiratory symptoms. I assume your doctor is involved. You have had a chest X-ray I assume. In a post Covid scenario that cough and shortness of breath can linger for several months. You might also try an OTC nasal spray used for allergies that would help diminish any post nasal drip that may be precipitating the caught.

I have had a chronic cough in the past. I live in Wyoming higher altitude. They even wanted to put me on oxygen at night. I have been going down for the winter months in S. Utah and Nevada much lower altitudes. I don't know if it was allergies to something in Wyoming and North Utah or the altitude but my chronic cough (knock on wood) is no longer. I have noted the acid reflux. During the Covid years I watched my diet, not eating out, exercised everyday and I lost a lot of weight between 20 - 30 pounds. So not sure what it was. Just recently we have started eating out again and went off our healtier eating routine - the weight is back - YAM! almost to where I started. Just got back to Wyoming and the bathroom scale. It was too scary. I have noted during this last few months that we have been eating bad (set off by huge family and friend losses - 4 lost in two months - 2 new friends with cancer in the last month. My husband is a stress eater so when he sees me sad or upset he starts feeding me comfort food. Most of that weight gain is since New Year's Day when I found out my sister-in-law had Cancer the 1st of the 4. Lost her before Valentine's Day. But ... didn't mean to go there. I have noticed that my acid relux has been coming back also, a yes I think a bit of the cough at times. So sad, I had both under control. I don't know if any of that can be of help to your situation. I'm going to try to not let these new situations with my friends stress me out and am going to try to get back on track with FatSecret. When I do it really seems to help me and my husband. Good Luck!

Oh Diana, i saw this picture and first thought was, WOW you look AMAZING! And then.i read your post….you haven’t found a new provider yet? You most definitely need to stay on top of this. I can’t remember, i know i asked you before if you had a humidifier in your bedroom. May help with cough. That pink eye situation is so strange. Is there something you routinely handle that needs to be replaced? I think you said you threw out all your makeup which would be a thought. Oh boy.

This is to answer most questions. I am still not feeling good. My throat is super sore and my ears hurt very bad. I am calling new Dr on Tues ( not open Mon) I have been sick for 35 days!! The pink eye sucks but at least I still have meds for it from last time. Kenna you asked about if I was under Dr care. Yes but my Dr has cancer and is only seeing patients for well checkups and for referral. He just kept sending me to quick care. They don't know squat about me...they were horrible. One Dr said it was just my asthma and would only give me new Albuterol. 5 days later I was worse and 2nd Dr said I had an upper respiratory infection. He never tested me for RSV or gave me a chest x-ray. Anyway...I hope I get this taken care of. YOH, I do have humidifier. Isn't helping that much. Appreciate all the comments 💜
